This large room served as the main bed chamber, a sitting room, guest room, and perhaps an office for Susanna. Notable among the furnishing are a walnut cradle of early Montgomery County origin and a South Carolina plantation-made blanket chest that belonged to the Preston family. The fireplace surround is Prussian Blue,the first synthetic color. |
